Cases Before The California Public Utilities Commission

As issues and cases arise before the CPUC affecting the rates and regulations affecting agricultural electricity consumers, AECA advocates on behalf of growers and agricultural interests as a party to the case. Below are the cases AECA is currently litigating:

General

  • R02-01-011 - Implementation of the Suspension of Direct Access.
    This proceeding largely pertains to "exit fees", and how they are assessed on direct access customers and customers of public utilities such as irrigation districts.

  • A05-01-016 - Critical Peak Pricing
    This application is the implementation of "Critical Peak Pricing" for all customers of PG&E and SCE with demand over 200 kW.

PG&E

  • A04-06-024 - General Rate Case Phase II
    This application is where PG&E reformulates all rates and revenue requirement for customers. Issues such as demand charges, energy charges and distribution fees are decided in this case.

SCE

  • A04-12-014 - General Rate Case Phase I (Application Number Not Determined)
    This is the application of SCE to adjust their overall revenue requirement for the next three years. Through this proceeding, SCE will determine the total amount of revenue the utility will be allowed to recover through rates.
