About AECA:
The Agricultural Energy Consumers Association (AECA) is a non-profit agricultural consumer advocacy
association which represents the energy interests of California growers, the state's leading agricultural
associations, and over 45 agricultural water districts.
AECA's mission is to provide a voice for agricultural energy consumers before the California Public Utilities Commission and the State Legislature, as well as educate the farm community on energy options in today's constantly evolving energy markets. |

AECA's Ongoing Goals:
- Ensuring the structure of California's energy markets fulfull the promise of competition, including lower rates and better service
- Encouraging the development of competitive distribution systems as a check on future distribution rate increases
- Representing the unique growing needs of California's agricultural industry as it relates to energy before a variety of regulatory agencies
- Educating the farm community on energy options to ensure growers and ranchers can make informed decisions
- Continuing to educate state regulators and elected officials on agricultural energy issues
